Pastor Jay introduces a series on the book of Amos, with references from Amos 1:1-2 and Amos 7:7-14 that explain why the book was written, who Amos was, and the message that he was charged by God to deliver.

Back to the Start - Part 3

The message today is from Amos 2:6-1-6. Israel heard God's punishment for the surrounding nations and then realized their punishment was also coming. Pastor Jay shared that they Realized the Pattern, Recognized the Problem, and needed to Reset their Perspective instead of drifting from God.

Teaching from Amos 5:1-15, Pastor Jay shares God’s Lamenting the punishment due His people, His Longing for relationship with us and them, His place of Lordship in our lives, and our choices of Rebellion against His authority, the realization of which should lead us to Repentance.

Because of all God has given us through His love, patience, faithfulness, and sacrifice, we have the privilege of bringing our love and devotion to Him in worship. From Amos 8:1-14, Pastor Jay shares that the Pleading for relationship has ended, God's Priorities have not changed , and the consequences of Punishment cannot be escaped.

The message today is from Amos 1:3-2:5. Pastor Jay shares that Amos heard God’s voice, and he was instructed to share the certainty of the judgement coming to the nations around Israel as well as Israel itself in consequence of the sin of each nation.

Amos 3:1-4:5 gives us a picture of the heart of God. Pastor Jay shares that God’s warning to Israel was Heartfelt, that God was Heartbroken by their sin which led to such consequences, and that our Holy God is not interested in Heartless Worship.

Pastor Jay’s message from Amos 7:1-17 reminds us of God’s great patience with us and that God have an unchanging standard for behavior that doesn’t change with our preferences.

Pastor Jay concludes our study of Amos with lessons from Amos 9:1-15, which makes it clear that Life without God ends in Tragedy, while Life with God ends in Triumph!
